country, based in Port Klang. As part of it’s
expansion plans, the project undertaken
was the construction & completion of a new wharf
& access bridges. Three out of six pre-qualified
contractors took part.

in excess of RM100 million, eBidding saved the client
up to 3% of the total cost.
IT
Infrastructure
The
client is a local banking group which required the installation
of single phase Un-interruptible Power Supply. Four
vendors competed
against each other, reducing the price per unit by 12%.

Maintenance,
Repair & Operating
Managing
one of Malaysia’s busiest & largest ports
include ensuring all the different aspects of the port’s
function are well maintained
& is in good working order. As in the case of the
refurbishment of capacity prime movers. Valued at just
over RM1 million,
four vendors took part in the eBidding which reduced
the price by almost 9%.
Cleaning
Services
Malaysia,
if not the world’s foremost connoisseur of pewter
ware were looking to renew their contract for cleaning
services and decided
to tender the contract via eBidding. A minimum of three
vendors participated in the eBid. Based on their current
price the client
managed to reduce the tender value by 10%.
3. Other purchases
Stationeries
The
client is a local consortium specializing in building
& infrastructure, education, services & consultancy,
& technology. Having aggregated
their stationery spend across the group, the tender
was worth over a quarter a million RM. A total of eight
vendors took
part. eBidding saved up to 7%.
Uniforms
Image
is important to this client, being one the most well
known pewter ware producers in the world. The tender
was for their uniforms,
in which four vendors vied for the tender. eBidding
saved almost 5% on their current price.
Printing
Malaysia’s
first low cost carrier, this client managed saving almost
a whopping 40% on their airline tags. A total of six
vendors vied
for the tender valued at over RM1 million.
Toilet
accessories
Having
grown through mergers & acquisitions, this banking
group were in need of enlarging their contract for sanitary
services in their
newly acquired buildings as well as the existing ones.
eBidding reduced their spend by just over 2%.
